We Won’t Ever Die
We traced the shoreline for miles through the fog outside and climbed rock ladders with hands tied up into the sky, where the clouds bathed in soft truths bridging day to the night. We will be made to dust and then brought back to life. We won’t ever die
Our hearts are enslaved in a delicate cage of flesh and bones and they long to break free, taste sunlight and grow and to bathe in the river, carving canyons and flowing and our love ages backwards, towards birth and the knowing. We won’t ever die.
